France's jazz scene comes to Halifax with rising stars Thomas Enhco and the Rémi Panossian Trio.

The Late Night is grooving with Afro Kumbé Sound System's mixes and remixes of Colombia's Caribbean coast, and Zulkamoon's genre-blend of Afro-Caribbean cumbia, reggae, ska, funk and traditional Mexican folk.

With the Shining Clouds' unpredictability and Alicia Hansen's penchant for unique compositions, this intimate show is a must-see for fans of soulful, deeply moving, radical jazz and pop.

An evening of showcasing artists from premiere Halifax label Forward Music's experimental subsidiary, Backward Music. Halifax's best sounding room will be host to moving performances by the emotion-stirring Brooklyn group, Bing & Ruth, Halifax's chamber folk hero, Tim Crabtree and rising electro-acoustic star Joshua Van Tassel.

Vibrant and compassionate, Marianne Trudel's Trifolia will fill The Music Room with scintillating rhythms. Joined by The Tyson Naylor Trio, a juggernaut of West Coast jazz, this evening will offer an intimate look at two of Canada's most exciting and ambitious explorers.

Reggae is alive at the Festival Tent with Jamaica's The Wailers and Halifax's Verbal Warnin' and Andru Branch & Halfway Tree.

Featuring original members of the seminal 70's reggae group, Bob Marley & The Wailers, and Lee Perry's The Upsetters, as well as some fresh young superstars, The Wailers have graciously carried the torch of roots reggae into the 21st century. Their live set includes classics from the Bob Marley catalogue, as well as some new compositions expertly executed by these legends of reggae.One of Canada's leading reggae groups performing internationally recognized roots reggae, featuring original Studio One bassist, Brian 'Bassie' Atkinson. Recent recipients of Music Nova Scotia's Inspirational Recording Of The Year for their 2012 album, Step Into The Light, Andru Branch & Halfway Tree perform gloriously hypnotic and positively uplifting music.Verbal Warnin' is a roots reggae band from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Made up of some of the best young musicians the city has to offer, Verbal Warnin' have been rocking steady for over a decade.
